FaCB Nyasa Bullets president Konrad Buckle and chief executive officer Albert Chigoga have remained silent on a complaint raised by former national supporters committee chairperson Stone Mwamadi.

Stone Mwamadi (former national supporters committee chairperson).

In a letter addressed to Buckle and copied to Chigoga, Mwamadi said NMC promised to build a stadium, buy a new team bus, construct regional clubhouses, clear outstanding bills and improve players’ welfare. He said the promises were supposed to be fulfilled within the first five years of the takeover, between 2017 and 2022.

The former supporters chairperson said he is leaving the club disappointed because the pledges were not honoured despite several reminders. He urged the club leadership to start fulfilling the promises, saying the club’s success should also be measured by infrastructure development.

Mwamadi also claimed his recent suspension was used as an excuse to remove him from the club. He said he was never given a chance to explain himself and only learnt about the suspension through social media.

When contacted, Buckle was not available for comment, while Chigoga said he could not comment because he had not yet seen the letter.
