Bullets and Wanderers Owners Seek Extended Control of Kamuzu Stadium
Business leader Konrad Buckle, owner of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, and Thom Mpinganjira, owner of Mighty Wanderers, have agreed to make a joint request to the Malawi Government to allow them to take longer control of Kamuzu Stadium. The two club owners say their plan is aimed at helping the government reduce the pressure of managing and maintaining the stadium.
According to the proposal, the two football giants want extended management rights so they can improve the stadium’s structure and operations. They plan to upgrade seating areas, improve player facilities, and modernize important sections of the ground. They believe these changes can raise the standard of the stadium and make it more attractive for big local and international matches.

The owners say their clubs already use the stadium regularly and understand its needs. By taking more responsibility, they expect faster renovations and better care of the facility. They also say this partnership can bring new investment and better match-day services for supporters.
If the request is approved, the stadium could see major changes in design, safety systems, and fan comfort over the coming years. Both owners say they are ready to work closely with authorities to make sure the plan benefits football and the country as a whole.
