FAM Releases Names of 2025 FDH Bank Cup Award Nominees.

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has released the names of players who will compete in different award categories for the 2025 FDH Bank Cup. The list includes top performers from various clubs who showed great skill and consistency during the tournament. The awards cover categories such as Best Player, Top Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, and Most Promising Player.

According to FAM, the selection was made based on performance, discipline, and impact in the competition. Officials said the nominees represent the best talent seen during the 2025 FDH Bank Cup matches. Fans and teams have welcomed the announcement and are already discussing who is likely to win in each category.

The winners will receive their awards on 6 March 2026 at the COMESA Hall during a special ceremony. FAM says the event will celebrate excellence and encourage players to continue working hard. The ceremony is expected to bring together players, coaches, sponsors, and football supporters from across the country.

Speaking before the match, the players said they need strong support from Malawian fans as they prepare for the important game. The team said that when supporters come to the stadium in large numbers, it motivates them to play with more confidence and determination. Maclean Mwale Set for Possible Move to FCB.

  A shot of Maclean Mwale(former goalkeeper of Kalonga United) Kalonga United goalkeeper  Maclean Mwale is expected to join FCB as a goalkeeper following an agreement between the two clubs. The deal has already been discussed and agreed in principle, but the transfer will only be completed when the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) officially opens the player buying and selling window. Mwale, who is 27 years old, has been one of the best goalkeeper who manage to keep Kalonga United safe with  10 games without goals from 28 games that they have and he help the team to end up on position 6 in 2025 TNM Supper League  and has played a key role for the team this season. His possible move to FCB is seen as a major step in his career. Both Kalonga United and FCB are expected to finalize the transfer once the transfer market opens.
